Looking for...

Maybe if I just put this out there, someone will have an idea for me or know the perfect bitch to do this with...

I am looking for a breeding age black/white cardigan bitch to breed to Toby - Ch. Dunes Fade To Blaque. He is listed on this site and you can click on his picture to get to his webpage. Toby is a very nice boy who has been used once. I would like to get a puppy (for me) out of him sooner than later. He is out of Ch. Yardican Devon Druid and Aurigan Miss Goodnite, ROMB. He is OFA Good, CERF, PRA Clear, etc.

If anyone has any ideas for me, please let me know. I would be happy to answer questions. yolanda@dune.aurigan.com

Man, sometimes I wish we didn't have color restrictions...*sigh* (please dont blast me for that comment, I obey CWCCA ethics).

I wish you luck. I tried that approach for years, with no success - thankfully I did finally get mine, and I hope you do, too.

I am so, so opposed to color restrictions. I myself would do an off-color breeding if I felt it was the right one. Blast away!

I thought he ended up being neutered? Glad that he isn't. I've always loved that boy. But I have no black bitches. :(

I will keep an eye out.

Have you collected and frozen him just in case? Hopefully you won't have to breed a 'custom' litter, hope for the right bitch, then wait the 2 years to breed her to him and someone will let you use theirs.

I don't really 'get' the color breeding restrictions in the breed. I think they're too restricting, and will only hurt the dogs in the longrun. It's the only reason I'm not a CWCCA member yet, but the big reason I should join.

I have no plans, or desire to breed a cross-color litter, but I hate telling responsible breeders that at the risk of getting unwanted colors, they're not allowed to choose the best mates for their dogs. I'm all for treating responsible breeders as though their adults. *sigh*

Man... I really wish I had a girl for him for you. However, that's likely going to be a bit.

However, if you find him a nice date... *peers hopefully over your shoulder* You know where I am. He's lovely. I'd love to see pictures of what he's produced sometime when we're together one of these times.

Thanks guys - nope, Mr. Toby is still around, but he isnt getting any younger.
Dazzle and Journey are lovely girls! I havent seen new pics of Journey yet - looking good!
I have had two black girls that I have had in mind for him, but sadly one ended up being fluffy, and the other ended up as pet... so the search is back on.
