I am so excited for my weekend plans! Dayl and I are taking Hunter, Ellyn, Dotty and Beatrys to a herding trial Saturday morning. For those interested here is the website: http://www.twincountyschutzhundclub.com/Upcoming_Events.html
Hopefully, we will be successful at obtaining the HIC - Herding Instinct Capability and then the HCT - Herding Capability Tested titles. I think both Hunter and Ellyn will pay attention to the livestock, but if they can work the livestock will be a different story. And I really hope no one eats a sheep, or gets themselves hurt. That would ruin the weekend...

Sweet Days In Canada
Results For Friday 2-20
Ellyn WB/Best Puppy/ Best Puppy In Herding Group
Hunter WD/BOW/BOB
Results For Saturday 2-21
Ellyn RWB/ Best Puppy / Best Puppy In Herding Group
Hunter WD/BOW/BOB / Herding Group 3
Beatrys WB/ BOS/ BBE
Phantom and Ellyn participated in Sweepstakes Saturday as well. Phantom placed 4th in her senior puppy class of about 9 and Ellyn placed 4th in her junior puppy class out of 18 or so puppies of different breeds.
I was VERY excited that Ellyn got Best Puppy in Herding Group both days. They dont award places 2-4 like the states do. So Ellyn got to go into Best Puppy in Show competition both days too. What a tired little girl she is!
Hunter got a Group 3!!! I think I about passed out when he got pulled. That is my first group placing in the regular group. That brings him quickly to 5 points toward his CAN Ch. title. The judges have been very nice and complimentary of all the Cardigans we brought.
One more day to go. And then I need a vacation...

Favorite Authors
I have been on a reading frenzy lately. I believe this is due to the snow, the rain, and overall grayness of my world these past few months. Dayl, Pam, Terry and I all enjoy sharing books and new authors with each other. Here are some authors I find simply delightful.
Diana Gabaldon - http://voyagesoftheartemis.blogspot.com/
The Outlander Series, The Lord John series
Jasper Ffjorde - http://www.jasperfforde.com/
The Thursday Next novels
Charlaine Harris - http://www.charlaineharris.com/
The Sookie Stackhouse novels
Sara Donati - http://rosinalippi.com/weblog/
The Into The Wilderness series
Jennifer Roberson http://www.cheysuli.com/author/Index.html
The Historicals
And my most favorite author as a child/teen who helped inspire the kennel name 'Dune'.
Frank Herbert - http://frankherbert.org/
As far as dogs go, Hunter, Ellyn, Phantom and Beatrys will be going to the Canada shows the next two weekends. Dayl and I are so excited to finally be getting back to Canada!
